GIVING

Here at Church Club1, we believe that giving is an essential part of the journey of a believer. We know that it's a discipline that challenges so many and yet we also know the blessings that come with a giving heart far outweigh the sacrifice.

Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

Tithing reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His. James 1:17 says that “every good and perfect gift is from above ...,” so we have an opportunity to tangibly show God He is the “owner” of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives us.

Our giving provides no leverage, position, or preference with God. It is an act of faith and obedience which in itself creates opportunity for blessing. As Jesus said, “Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.”- (2 Cor 9:7)
